More Words

This piece began as a conversation in therapy. I am number four of six siblings. I was describing my family dynamic to my therapist. My mom always says that she has 6 only children- and that is really the best way to put it. We are each about 3-5 years in gap between us and range from 38 (oldest brother) to 22 (youngest sister). Growing up in constant chaos did not allow us to have similar upbringings. Each of us experienced life in a completely different way, even if all under the same roof at times. Each of us had vastly different relationships with our parents and vastly different relationships between each other. Even today, we can get together and recall certain points in our life, and each of us will have a completely different memory and understanding of said event.
